Carbon Alpha has partnered with Mangrove Systems to deploy a digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (digital MRV) solution for the North Star carbon removal project in Saskatchewan. The North Star Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) project, captures biogenic CO2 from sustainably sourced forestry waste and stores it permanently underground, generating approximately 90,000 carbon credits annually. Mangrove's advanced MRV system enables real-time tracking and comprehensive data consolidation across the entire carbon removal process, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and streamlined verification of carbon credits.
